|Lovely sunny morning once low cloud had cleared!
Brambling (2 near Sheep Field Gate), Lots of small mixed flocks around which included: Redpoll, Goldfinch, Chiffchaff, Willow Tit, Goldcrest and a few Siskin.
Redwing (17), Pochard (2), Cettis Warbler (3), Water Rail (1), Kingfisher (2), Treecreeper (1), Nuthatch (1)
Still some visible migration with Skylark and Meadow Pipit overhead. Butterflies, Peacock, Comma, Small Heath plus Migrant Hawker Dragonfly!

|Saturday 1130-1330, mild and sunny weather. Of note: Kingfisher fishing from pole at West Marsh hide, Buzzards (1 over Top Pool, 1 over Brandon Woods), Nuthatch and GS Woodpecker on feeders by visitor centre, Swallow (2 from car park flying in a southerly direction). Other birds seen or heard around the reserve: Blackbird, Reed Bunting, Meadow Pipit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Robin, Dunnock, Cettis Warbler (heard), Coot, Moorhen, Great Crested Grebe, Cormorant, Mallard, Shoveler, Tufted, Gadwall, Black Headed Gull (many), Lapwing (many), Common Snipe, Grey Heron, Canada & Greylag Geese, Mute Swan, Carrion Crow, Jay, Magpie, Stock Dove, Woodpigeon, Blue, Great and Long-tailed Tits, Wren, Green Woodpecker & Sparrowhawk.
Also many Ruddy Darters on path near visitor centre, Brimstone Butterfly basking in the sunshine, several unidentified large dragonflies, 3 Grey Squirrels but no Rabbits.
