Usual suspects but of note: Bullfinch, Kingfisher (EMP), Ruddy Duck (EMP), G S & Green Woodpeckers, Buzzard, Jay, large tit flocks containing Blue, Great and Long Tailed.
Ruddy Darter and Southern Hawker in sunshine at junction of Horsetail Glade and Central Marsh paths.
Two Bank voles (?) on EM path path near Baldwin Hide.

Possibly Marsh Harrier over reed beds as we parked car. Too slender to be a buzzard.
EMP; GS Woodpeckers (3), Kingfishers (2) chasing each other, Shovelers, Teal, Gadwalls, Jay, plenty of Lapwings.
Teal Pool; Sparrowhawks (2). Heron at Newlands

|Reserve generally very quiet.
Far more Wigeon, Teal and Shoveler, and 5 female Pintail on EMP.
2 Common Snipe on EMP main island.
Muntjac on path to WMP.
Jay, Green and G Spotted Woodpeckers, Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail on WMP.
Marsh harrier suspected over Top Reedbed, but definitely could not confirm (poor sighting).

Not a bad walk considering the way the day started. Stayed dry but quite blustery.
Green Sandpiper (2) West Marsh Pool; Buzzard (1); Chiffchaff (1); Snipe (5); Kingfisher (2) Grebe Pool & Carlton - both fishing; Wigeon (10); House Martin (40+); Swallow (12); Cettis Warbler (heard in 2 locations); Jay (4); Sparrowhawk (1); Green Woodpecker (3); Blackcap (2); Lbb Gull (1); Lapwing; Heron; Shoveler; Cormorant; Teal; Gadwall; Tufted Duck.
