April 17th (early afternoon) - 1 Reed Warbler singing (Central Marsh), also 2 Little Grebe (Newlands), 1 Water Rail (Carlton), 1 Oystercatcher, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Redshank, 3 Common Tern, 50 Sand Martins, six Cetti's Warbler singing across reserve, 1 Sedge Warbler singing (Newlands).

Fri 12th April 6:10 to 7:40am. Sunrise on a very cold Brandon. 3 Willow Warbler singing. Double that for Chiffs. 3 Blackcap. 3 Cetti’s. 2 Redshank, 2 Jays. GBBGull. 10 Sand Martin. 4 Oyster Catchers. LRP. TreeCreeper. Probable Willow Tit between EM & Carlton hides.

Male Pied Flycatcher (from Primrose Bank showing well for most of the morning)

East Marsh: Wheatear (Male dropped onto Tern Island briefly), Sedge Warbler (1 singing in reeds to the left of East Marsh Hide), Little-ringed Plover (4), Oystercatcher (4), Redshank (2), Common Snipe (1), Drake Mandarin (one early morning photographed & seen by Fred Stokes but no further sign), Cetti's Warbler (2), Sand Martin (20+), House Martin (4), Swallow (3)

Other Areas:

Fieldfare (2 over car park), Linnet (2), Willow Warbler (5), Chiffchaff (10+), Blackcap (5), Skylark (one singing over Farm Area), Muntjac (2)
