Crisp morning on the reserve with many pools having a crust of ice. 39 species of which highlights were goldcrest, siskin, lesser redpoll, Little Egret, kingfisher, sparrowhawk.

A fantastic morning of Vismig (Visual Migration) over the reserve early morning:

(50+) Skylark, (5) Brambling, (2) CROSSBILL, (8) Meadow Pipit, (35) Redwing, (13) Siskin, (4) Lesser Redpoll & 10+ Buzzard

A marked increase in Robins & Blackbirds throughout the reserve & plenty of Tit Flocks to explore with (6) Goldcrest, (3) Chiffchaff, Marsh Tit & (4) Treecreeper within.

Also 80+ Wigeon, (2) Snipe East Marsh Pool, 2 Stonechat Jury Hide + Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and 2 Hobbies still performing well (Latest record of Hobby thus far for both of us!
