Sightings included Little Egret 5, Little Ringed Plover 6, Ringed Plover 1, Cuckoo calling, Hobby 2, Oystercatcher 2, Redshank 1, Buzzard, Green Woodpecker 2, Mistle Thrush singing, Goldcrest singing, Goldfinch pair, Lesser Whitethroat singing, Whitethroat several, Garden Warbler several, Shoveler 1 drake, Greenfinch, Bullfinch 2.

Tree-keepers x 2 (in woods) 1 x Jay, Mick Taylor Hide: Little Egret, 1 x Hobby, shoveller Duck, Heron, Ted Jury Hide: Kestrel, hobbies x 3, Greater Spotted Woodpecker, plenty of sedge and reed warblers around Newlands Reedbed. Around the rest of the reserve: BlackCap, Plenty of buzzards around (up-to 5 in one place at one point).

Butterflies - small heath, orange tip, large white, brimstone

Birds of note - ringed & little ringed plovers, common tern, oystercatcher, garden warbler, grasshopper warblers heard on both Top Reedbed & Farm Reedbed

Moths - small yellow underwing, burnet companion, treble-bar, lesser treble-bar ab fimbriata (confirmed by David Brown, County Moth Recorder, will post picture)
