Highlights - 3 Shelduck, 29 Wigeon, 2 Oystercatchers, 3 Redshank, 3 Snipe, 3 Water Rails, 70+ Black-headed Gulls, 19 Common Gull, 7+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 3 Nuthatch plus several Chiffchaff around the reserve. Also Muntjac Deer along Wigeon Bank.

Reed Buntings, Blue Tits, Great Tits and Chaffinches at feeders at entrance. Canada Geese, Mallards, Teal, Tufted Ducks, Coots and Moorhen at Steetley Hide. Redshank, Oystercatchers, Cormorants, GC Grebes, Lapwings, Black-Headed Gulls, Tufted Ducks, Shoveler, Gadwall and Greylag Geese at Wright Hide. Also Robins, Long Tailed Tits, Barnacle Goose, Buzzard, Treecreeper, Magpies, Carrion Crows and Emperor x White-fronted Goose around reserve.

Birds of note - 1 Little Grebe, 3 Great-crested Grebe, 32 Wigeon, Gadwall, Shoveler, 2 Shelduck, 4 Oystercatchers, 3 Redshank, 3+ Snipe, 5+ Water Rail, 400+ Black-headed Gulls, 14+ Common Gull, 1 MEDITERRANEAN GULL (2nd winter bird), 4+ Herring Gull, 9+ Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2+ Jay, 4+ Buzzard, Kestrel, GS & Green Woodpecker, Treecreeper, 5+ Goldcrest, 4+ Chiffchaff, 4+ Bullfinch, Cetti's Warbler, 2 Willow Tit, Coal Tit, 2 Song Thursh. Also one pair of Long-tailed Tits were observed nest building and mixed flocks of Redwing and Fieldfare were observed heading north easterly over the reserve. A Muntjac was also seen feeding along Wigeon Bank for at least half an hour. 60 species observed between 9.15-15.15

Tufted Duck, Shelduck, Wigeon, Teal and Mallards at East Marsh/Jon Baldwin Hides, plus Canadas, Greylags, Lapwings, Oystercatchers, GC Grebes and many Gulls. Dunnocks, Wrens, Robins, Blackbirds and Pheasants plus an unidentified warbler between hides. Little Grebe, Canada Goose and potential Bittern at Carlton, and Stock Doves, Gadwall and Shoveler at Ted Jury.
