Monday 16th April - a brief 2 hour visit

Magpie, pheasant, feral and wood pigeons, great and blue tits, carrion crow, mallard, coot (nest by Carlton hide), dunnock, blackbird, moorhen, greylag and canada geese, cormorant, little ringed plover, lapwing, shelduck, oystercatcher, tufted duck, robin, mute swan, chiffchaff, wren, swallow, grey heron, chaffinch, teal, redshank, blackcap (♀), great spotted woodpecker.
Butterflies - Peacock 3, Orange Tip (m) 1.

Saturday 1030-1330 R Plover 2, Little Ringed Plover 3, Redshank 2, Oystercatcher 4, Common Snipe 10, Lapwing, Coot, Moorhen, Black-headed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull 2, Cormorant, Great Crested Grebe, Mute Swan, Gadwall, Mallard, Tufted Duck, Shoveler, Teal, Pied Wagtail, Grey Heron, Canada & Greylag Geese, Treecreeper, Reed Bunting, GS Woodpecker, Cettis Warbler (1 seen, several heard around reserve), Buzzard 4, Kestrel, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw, Magpie, Blue, Great & LT Tits, Robin, Dunnock, Chiffchaff (several around reserve), Wren, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Blackcap 2, Blackbird, Woodpigeon, Stock Dove, Pheasant. Several Rabbits and at least 8 Grey Squirrels.
