This morning at Brandon.
Arrived at 0615 with all pools shrouded in mist but bright sunshine at tree level! Good job it improved! 46 species between 0615 and 1000.
Buzzard (2); Water Rail (1); Gadwall (2); Treecreeper (1); Redwing (3); Oystercatcher (2); Shoveler (18); Shelduck (3); Lapwing (12); Heron (5); Gt Cr Grebe (4); Dabchick (2); Fieldfare (1); Jay (3); Bullfinch (3m 5f); Kingfisher (1); Cettis Warbler (3 seen with at least 6 singing); Gt Sp Woodpecker (2); Reed Bunting (4m 3f); Green Woodpecker (2); Muntjac (1).
At least 6 singing Chiffchaff.
Lots of visitors, with an overflowing car park when I left at 1000. Wish I could have stayed longer.
