Friday April 6th - Brandon Marsh 2018 butterfly transect week 1:
Small tortoiseshell (1)

(A transect is a weekly walk that records butterflies in a 5m band on a fixed route, from April to September. This is a way of measuring changes in abundance and variety of butterflies at a site from year to year. It thus doesn't record all species or numbers if they are not on that route.)

Of note, seen on transect:
Pair of mistle thrush, common toad
