20:20 - Three Otters seen right hand side of Carlton Hide, Came from direction of new sluce , entered bramble bushes then crossed path to Screen Hide then entered river.
Great sightings of Barn Owl from Carlton Hide - 18:45.

|Birds of note- Hobby, 2 Cuckoo, pr Red-Crested Pochard, 6 Shellduck, Kestral 3 Buzzards, 1 Ringed and 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Redshank, 4 Oystercatches ( 1 pr with 2 chicks with the other pr still sitting), Common Sandpiper, 8 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 4 Black-headed Gulls, 6 Common Terns, numberous Warlbers inc Willow, Reed, Sedge, Garden, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Common Whitethroat, also good numbers of Hirundine- Swallows,sand&house Martins plus Swifts.
Also- Yellow Wagtail along Brandon Lane just before Brandon Hall on wires

|Sightings included: carrion crow, magpie, goldfinch, great tit, reed bunting, feral pigeon, greenfinch, blue tit, swallow, swift, robin, blackbird, lesser whitethroat, long tailed tit, jay, canada goose, greylag goose, woodpigeon, linnet, whitethroat, dunnock, coot, tufted duck, oystercatcher, lapwing, gadwall, common tern, redshank, little ringed plover, shelduck, mallard, lesser black backed gull, black headed gull, Arctic Tern, mute swan, blackcap, garden warbler, cormorant, pheasant, moorhen and heron.
Also grass snake, muntjac deer (2) and lucky enough to be in Carlton Hide when the otter passed, over on the far right, having caught a substantial fish.

|2 hobbys newlands, cuckoo between baldwin and big hide, 3 shelduck, 5 common tern, 4 oystercatcher, 2 redshank, 2 Little Ringed Plover, all on east marsh, raven over newlands, kingfisher on swallow pool, gc grebe on goose pool, coal tit, goldcrest and gs woodpecker in horsetail glade. all warblers seen inc. cettis. lots of swifts now on reserve. 65 species today.|

Common Tern, Common Whitethroat (in front of East Marsh Hide), Cuckoo (6.26pm onwards from Carlton Hide, perched in left dead tree for a while before preceding to land in the tree at the back of the Carlton Hide!), Hobby (joined the Cuckoo on the same left dead tree, stayed for a while), Kingfisher (flew over East Marsh Pool briefly), Little Ringed Plover, Red-crested Pochard (1m & 1f), Redshank, Shelduck (x2), Swift
