East Marsh: Wheatear (Male dropped onto Tern Island briefly), Sedge Warbler (1 singing in reeds to the left of East Marsh Hide), Little-ringed Plover (4), Oystercatcher (4), Redshank (2), Common Snipe (1), Drake Mandarin (one early morning photographed & seen by Fred Stokes but no further sign), Cetti's Warbler (2), Sand Martin (20+), House Martin (4), Swallow (3)

Other Areas:

Fieldfare (2 over car park), Linnet (2), Willow Warbler (5), Chiffchaff (10+), Blackcap (5), Skylark (one singing over Farm Area), Muntjac (2)

Early Fri Morning Visit 06:20 to 08:00am: 3 Muntjac around the reserve (unless 1 was stalking me...) . Lots of birdsong altho often dominated by Canada Geese. Highlights. 60 Sand Martin. Willow Warbler. Min 3 CettIā€™s calling. Jay. Green Woodpecker. GS Woodpecker drumming. Blackcap.
