Brandon Marsh butterfly transect week 23:

Weather sunny and cloudy, very pleasant. Lots of birds feeding in trees and shrubs. Long TT. Goldcrest. Bullfinch (M). Black Caps ( Brown Caps). Chiff Chaff. Garden Warbler. Probable W.Warbler. EMash. 100+ Grey Lag Geese. 350+ Lapwings. 3 Snipe. 2 Crows. 2 Herons. Starling. Elsewhere. Swallows. Sand Martins. Green Woodpeckers. Greenfinch (Heard). Clearly birds stocking up on Autumn berries.
