Brief view of Water Rail and hours long views of 3 Common Snipe in front of East Marsh Hide. Pair of Goosander + usual Wigeon et al. Also in EM pond.

24th Feb pm visit. principle sightings -Jack Snipe and 2 Common Snipe from Teal hide. Shelduck pair, Goosander (m+f), Gadwall displaying, Wigeon c60, good numbers of Teal and Shoveler, Lapwing 55, Nuthatch 2, Marsh Tit 2, Coal tit 1, Long-tailed Tit flock, Great-spotted Woodpecker, Water Rail 2, Stock Dove 2, Lesser Redpoll 1, Mistle Thrush 1

Pair of siskin and pair of lesser redpoll feeding on bank at foot of trees left of turn to access Steetley hide. Great White Egret from Teal Hide (4.30pm) also landed briefly on bank by Grebe Pool (5.45pm) before flying towards East Marsh pool.
3 snipe on Teal pool. Possible Jack Snipe, it bobbed and was smaller but remained hidden in reeds! Not possible to verify _ we tried! Water Rail in reeds close to snipe.
♂ and ♀ Goosander on East Mash.
Beautiful Sparrowhawk over as we left The Jury hide.
Nuthatch and treecreepers seen in woods. Several goldcrest seen.

Oystercatcher 4, Shelduck 3, Treecreeper 1, Snipe4, Water Rail in the channel, great to see Stonechats at jury hide also Lesser Spotted Woodpecker calling in the wood down by the river then seen flying, not whats referred to as old hare covert but the one across the fence.
